Hi everyone. I made this page for my father, Mark, who needs a new kidney. He started peritoneal dialysis in June 2020 and has been on the transplant list since then. Four years later there hasn’t been any movement on the list front, so now we’re looking for a living donor. Pop’s blood type is O positive and needs a donor with the exact same type. I would give my own kidney in a second, but I’m not a match and neither is anyone else in my immediate family. So, we are casting the net to see if someone out there would consider donating. 

I feel lucky to have been raised by a great man who taught me the value of hard work, the importance of history and story, how to give people respect and to earn it, how to troubleshoot problems, how to cook with pride and passion, and how to stand up for others who might not be able to stand up for themselves. I want my Dad to be around for as long as possible, so it would be amazing to find a selfless someone who could help make that happen. My family would happily cover any costs associated with the process, procedure and travel.
